20+ Times Adults Tried to be Relatable

Have you noticed that in the past decade, companies have made a full-force effort to humanize themselves and attempt to relate to their customers? You'd have to be oblivious not to. Everything from American diner chains to car tire providers have put their hats in the ring of relatability. The results are mixed, but entirely embarrassing to look at.

This trend took off in 2016 with the "sassy" Wendy's Twitter account. At that time, it was pretty new for a social media account to actively diss its competitors, so a lot of people found it entertaining. Years later, everyone has tried to get a piece of that pie. The only difference is that it's not interesting; it's just kind of cringe.

Why don't we take a minute to laugh at some of these futile attempts to appeal to the youth? Not just companies, let's also throw well-meaning adults trying to get young people's attention.
